Essential and Desirable Qualifications
Essential: Master’s degree in Horticulture (Fruit Science or Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding) with a 4/5-year Bachelor’s degree. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience.
Desirable: Research experience in DUS testing.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be evaluated based on essential qualifications (55 marks), additional qualifications like Ph.D. (5 marks), research publications (10 marks), relevant experience (5 marks per year), and personal interview (20 marks).

Age Limit
The age limit is 21 to 45 years as of October 31, 2024, with age relaxation as per ICAR/Govt. rules.
Other Important Information
The appointment is purely temporary and on a contractual basis.
Selected candidates will receive emoluments as per ICAR norms.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the walk-in interview.
