The final selection list for the positions of draftsman (civil) has been announced by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board.
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has just issued a notification (Notification No. 11-Selection of 2024) that contains the final selection list for the positions of Draftsman (Civil) in the Jal Shakti Department. These positions are under Item No. 05 (Divisional Cadre, Jammu) and Item No. 06 (Divisional Cadre, Kashmir). 105 positions were available to be filled through the recruitment drive that was started through Advertisement Notification No. 01 of 2023, which was published on April 11, 2023.
The selection process consisted of a Written Examination that was held on September 24, 2023, followed by Document Verification that took place between October 16 and October 19, 2023, and was carried out in both Jammu and Srinagar. In the subsequent events, a Supplemental Document Verification was carried out on October 25th, 2023.
It was on November 21, 2023 that the Provisional Selection list was initially communicated to the public after the Selection Committee had given it careful attention and given its approval. However, on January 5, 2024, a contemplation order was issued in response to the decision that was given by the Honourable CAT Jammu Bench in the case of OA No. 61/1637/2023, which was captioned Waqar Younis versus the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and others. According to this ruling, the petitioner’s assertions were deemed to be without any basis in reality.
Candidates who were dissatisfied with the Provisional Selection were given the option to voice their views by sending an email to the address [email protected] within three days of the distribution of the notification regarding the Provisional Selection List. At the 253 Board Meeting that took place on January 5, 2024, the Board, following extensive deliberations and taking into account the representations that were presented, gave its approval to the Final Selection List.
