The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) today issued a notification regarding supplementary document verification for candidates shortlisted for Assistant Scientific Officer posts in the Home Department.
According to the notification issued by Dr. Nena Sharma, JKAS, Under Secretary of JKSSB, candidates who are in the consideration zone but could not appear for document verification on February 12 will be given a final opportunity on February 15. The document verification will be held at the JKSSB Central Office in Jammu for Jammu-based candidates and in Srinagar for Kashmir-based candidates.
The supplementary document verification is for candidates shortlisted for Assistant Scientific Officer (Narcotics), Assistant Scientific Officer (Chemistry and Toxicology), Assistant Scientific Officer (DNA), Assistant Scientific Officer (Biology and Serology), Assistant Scientific Officer (Physics), Assistant Scientific Officer (Ballistics), Assistant Scientific Officer (Documents), Assistant Scientific Officer (Cyber Forensics) posts. These candidates were earlier called for verification on February 7 vide JKSSB notification no. JKSSB-COE0EXAM(UT)/100/2023-03 (7362014) dated February 7, 2024.
The notification stated that the document verification will be held at 11 AM on February 15 and warned that no further claims will be entertained from candidates who fail to appear on the given date. The Director of Information and Public Relations has been requested to publish the notification in leading newspapers of Jammu and Srinagar.
The supplementary document verification indicates that the JKSSB is working to expedite the recruitment process for these scientific posts in the Home Department. The finalization of selection will strengthen the forensic capabilities of the department.
