The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the date sheet for the Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) Annual (Regular) 2024 session for the hard zone areas of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The examinations will commence from 4th April 2024 (Thursday) with the Vocational subjects such as Agriculture, Apparels & Home Furnishing, Automotive, Beauty & Wellness, Health Care, IT & ITES, Physical Education & Sports, Plumbing, Retail, Security, Telecommunication, Tourism & Hospitality, and Electronics & Hardware. The exams will be held in the morning session from 11 AM.
The Hindi and Urdu exams will be conducted on 12th April 2024 (Friday). The additional/optional subjects like Arabic, Kashmiri, Dogri, Bhoti, Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Persian, Sanskrit exams are scheduled for 19th April 2024 (Friday).
The Painting/Art & Drawing exams will be held on 22nd April 2024 (Monday) followed by the Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Disaster Management and Road Safety Education) on 24th April 2024 (Wednesday).
The Music exams are slated for 26th April 2024 (Friday). The General English paper will be held on 29th April 2024 (Monday) while the Home Science paper will be conducted on 1st May 2024 (Wednesday).
Mathematics and Computer Science exams are scheduled for 2nd May 2024 (Thursday) and 3rd May 2024 (Friday) respectively. The last paper will be of Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Life Science) on 6th May 2024 (Monday).
The detailed date sheet has been released by the Director Academics of JKBOSE and endorsed by the Secretary of the Board. It advises all the concerned heads of institutions and students to take note of the schedule and comply accordingly. The date sheet is also available on the official website of JKBOSE – www.jkbose.nic.in.
The Board has directed the heads of institutions to ensure timely distribution of admit cards to the students appearing for the exams. Students have also been advised to carry their admit cards to the exam centre or else they might not be allowed to appear for the exams.
This annual regular examination will be a crucial one for around 1.5 lakh students from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh divisions who will be appearing for their Class 10 board exams this year. The Board has made all the necessary arrangements and preparations to conduct smooth examinations across all the designated centres
