The Shiksha provisional merit list contains 103 candidates for the Jammu division and 91 candidates for the Kashmir division. These lists are enclosed as Annexure A and Annexure B respectively in the notice.

The Shiksha top 40 candidates in each divisional merit list (Annexure A and B) have been advised to appear before the designated Committee at the Jammu Directorate office with their original documents. They have been given a 7-day period to complete this document verification process, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

The Shiksha notice clarifies that these are provisional lists subject to changes based on document verification and objections. Mere inclusion in the lists does not confer any right to selection. Final selection will be based on merit as per the advertised criteria.

Candidates can submit clarifications and documents regarding their candidature through email or in-person within 5 days of the notice. No representations will be entertained after this timeframe.

The issuance of provisional lists is an important step in the recruitment process for these contractual teaching positions under the Samagra Shiksha scheme. The large number of applicants highlights the need for special educators as well as employment opportunities in the education sector in Jammu & Kashmir.

Shiksha Provisional selection is not final appointment – it is contingent on document verification, merit ranking and availability of vacancies. The inclusion of additional eligible candidates after scrutiny of objections also demonstrates the transparent and fair recruitment process.

The timely completion of the selection process will allow appointment of qualified special education teachers across schools in Jammu and Kashmir. Their recruitment will boost educational support and inclusion of children with disabilities in the school system.

It will be important to ensure prompt resolution of objections, thorough document verification and fair finalization of selection lists as per merit. The recruitment process should now proceed smoothly towards appointment of the best candidates.
