J&K BOPEE Conducts Second/Mop-Up Round of Physical Counselling for 12th Based Paramedical Diploma Courses

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has announced the schedule for the Second/Mop-Up Round of Physical Counselling for seat upgradation and allotment for admission to the 12th Based Paramedical Diploma Courses for 2024. The counselling is aimed at filling the seats that remained vacant during the first round, as well as addressing any shortfall received from various colleges and institutions in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir.

Key Dates for Counselling:

  1. 25th October 2024 (Friday) – Counselling will be conducted for all reserved category candidates, including those eligible under the EWS and horizontal categories.
  2. 28th October 2024 (Monday) – Counselling for open merit candidates with roll numbers ranging from 001 to 1100.
  3. 29th October 2024 (Tuesday) – Counselling for open merit candidates with roll numbers from 1101 to 2553.

  • Candidates are required to report to the BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on the day of their counselling session for registration and formalities.
  • Physical counselling for horizontal and reserved category candidates will take place on 25th October 2024. Any reserved category seats that remain unfilled due to a lack of eligible candidates will be converted into open merit seats as per the J&K Reservation Act, 2004.
  • Candidates must bring their domicile certificate, 12th-grade marks card, a valid category certificate (if applicable), and a birth certificate (Diploma/10th class) to the counselling session.
  • A fee of Rs. 1000 must be deposited through POS machines at the BOPEE office using debit or credit cards. Failure to deposit the counselling fee will result in disqualification from the process.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates who have already been allotted a seat of their choice and have joined the respective institutions do not need to attend the mop-up round.
  • Those who received a seat during the first round but did not join the allotted institution are still eligible to participate in the mop-up round of physical counselling.

Important Reminders:

  • Candidates should remain present in the Board office during the counselling process, as there is a possibility that a more desirable seat may become available due to a candidate vacating their seat. Such seats will be re-allotted based on merit.
  • The Board reserves the right to make changes to the schedule if necessary.

The seat matrix will be uploaded on the official BOPEE website prior to the counselling dates. All eligible candidates are advised to review the seat matrix and prepare accordingly.
