DIET J&K Releases Datesheet for Annual Exams 2023-24 for Classes 3rd to 9th

Srinagar, February 16, 2024: The Office of the Principal District Institute of Education and Training, Srinagar has released the date sheet for summative assessments 2023-24 for classes 1 to 6 for both government and private schools.

The assessments will be held from March 9 to March 20, 2024 in the morning session from 11 AM onwards. The date sheet contains the schedule of exams for various subjects like Kashmiri/Punjabi/Dogri, Urdu/Hindi, English, Science, Math, Environmental Studies (EVS) and Social Studies for classes 3 to 6.

For Foundational Stage classes 1 and 2, teachers will assess students’ literacy and numeracy skills using different activities as per the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy model.

The question papers will be based on the model papers issued by the J&K State Council of Educational Research and Training available on their official website www.scertjk.online.

In case of clash with board exams in schools designated as board exam centers, the assessments for the mentioned classes will be held in the second half after board exams are over for the day.

The date sheet has been shared with the Director, SCERT J&K, Director School Education Kashmir, Joint Director SCERT and Chief Education Officer Srinagar for information and wider publicity. All zonal education officers, cluster heads and complex centers have been instructed to inform and publicize the schedule to all concerned schools.
