CAT2024 Slot 2 was overall moderate to difficult. It was similar to slot 1. DILR was a little level up than slot 1 , VARC was length , RCs were 500 to 600 words .

QA was moderate and those who have been solving past year questions would be happy to see two exact questions from 2023 and 2022.

IIM CAT 2024 Live: The third slot of the exam will begin at 4:30 PM.

“Slot 1 of the CAT 2024 exam was easier than last year. The VARC section was moderate, DILR was manageable, and QA was also moderate. Students reacted positively, noting a little surprise in the exam. Overall, the difficulty was moderate, and higher cutoffs are to be expected this year.”

Surprising elements:

• The DILR section asked 22 questions (Total 5 sets: 3 sets with 4 questions each and 2 sets with 5 questions each.)

• There were no para jumble questions asked.

• The cutoffs are expected to get higher.

IIM CAT 2024 Live: The CAT exam pattern of 2024 showed a little change in slot 1. The overall questions asked were 68 – VARC (24), DILR (22), and QA (22).

The overall pattern remained the same for all three slots, but the number of MCQs and TITA questions varied.
