Light Snowfall Again Likely Over Few Higher Reaches: Director MeT
Srinagar 30 Aug (CNS): After a light snowfall over a few higher reaches of the valley, the MeT Director Srinagar Dr Mukhtar Ahmad has predicted the same activity to be observed today at other higher altitudes of Kashmir.
As per the news agency CNS, Dr Mukhtar said that some hilly areas will possibly receive light snowfall today as well. He expected a fleeting pause in the ongoing light rains till 2nd September night and said another spell will likely start between 2-3 September.
The intermittent rains have been going on in the valley besides in some parts of Jammu and the activity would last till tomorrow, with overall dry weather to be observed from 4-7 September.
“Although, there are chances of moderate to heavy rainfall in Jammu and moderate precipitation at a few places in Kashmir during tonight,” Dr Mukhtar said.
From 4th September onwards, the Director MeT said that there will be a gradual rise in temperature. (CNS)
