Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board Allows Edit Option for Job Applications
Jammu, February 9, 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced a one-time edit option for candidates who have applied for various district cadre posts advertised by the Social Welfare Department.
In an important notice issued yesterday, JKSSB said it has received requests from several candidates seeking an opportunity to modify certain details they submitted in the online application form.
The posts were advertised by JKSSB vide notification number 02/2023 dated December 8, 2023. The application process commenced on December 15, 2023 and concluded on January 14, 2024.
In view of the requests, JKSSB has now decided to provide a limited edit option that will allow candidates to modify certain fields in their submitted application form.
The edit window will remain open for five days starting 12 February 2024 (12:00 AM) till 16 February 2024 (11:59 PM).
However, fields like name, date of birth, category, email, phone number and item number will remain non-editable as per the notice.
Candidates who wish to make modifications will have to visit the official JKSSB website www.jkssb.nic.in and login using their credentials. They can then edit the permitted fields in their application form within the stipulated timeline.
The notice advised candidates to undertake the edits carefully as no further chance will be given for modifications after the window closes.
The Social Welfare Department posts for which applications were invited included account assistant, library assistant, hostel warden, statistical assistant and others across various districts.
The JKSSB is the main recruiting agency for state government departments and conducts exams to select suitable candidates for various posts. Opening the edit window will provide much needed relief for candidates who may have made inadvertent errors while filling the form.
Stakeholders have welcomed the decision, stating it will benefit a large number of applicants for these important district cadre posts. The JKSSB is yet to announce exam dates for the recruitment drive.
