Srinagar, February 7, 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a notification regarding the document verification of candidates under consideration for the post of Assistant Scientific Officer in the Home Department.
The notification (No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/100/2023-03 (7362014)) dated February 5, 2023, follows the result/merit list declared by JKSSB for the OMR-based written exam held for recruitment to various Assistant Scientific Officer posts.
As per the notification, shortlisted candidates are required to appear for document verification on January 12, 2024 at the JKSSB Central Office in Jammu for Jammu-based candidates and Srinagar for Kashmir-based candidates. The document verification will be held from 11 AM to 5 PM.
Candidates who fail to appear before the designated Document Verification Committee on the scheduled date will forfeit their selection.
During document verification, candidates have to produce original documents including application form, ID proof, category certificate if applicable, domicile certificate, academic qualifications, and other relevant documents as per the advertised criteria. A checklist of documents has also been provided.

The recruitment is being done to fill vacancies for the posts of Assistant Scientific Officer in various domains like Narcotics, Chemistry & Toxicology, DNA, Biology & Serology, Physics, Ballistics, Documents, and Cyber Forensics in the Home Department of the Jammu & Kashmir government.
